Therapeutic Listening Therapeutic listening is a therapeutic treatment used in collaboration with sensory integration. The therapeutic listening approach uses sound to positively affect the vestibular system. It uses specially altered CD's to transmit music and sounds through specialized headphones, which sets up the body and mind for sustained attention and active listening. Specially Trained occupational therapists evaluate, set out an individualized program and facilitate the therapeutic listening sessions. Therapeutic listening can benefit many children and is most recommended for those children with autism, attention deficit disorder, speech delays, coordination issues or spectrum disorders. If you believe your child would benefit from therapeutic listening, please contact Easter Seals.
