  • Family Service Coordinator

    The Family Service Coordinator is responsible for prompt, accurate performance in the coordination of services for children referred to the ECI program. Most decisions are guided by existing policies, and sound judgment must be used to know and apply the policies. The FSC/EIS must be able to work well under stress and be able to handle multiple tasks, making critical decisions and prioritizing.

    The Easterseals Family Resource Centers (FRC) are located in Hidalgo and Starr Counties and serve as community-based sites that provides a wide range of support services and resources for parents and caregivers of young children.     The focus of the HIPPY program is to encourage parents to prepare their children for school. We provide them with books and a curriculum that will help their children once they reach school to know their letters and their numbers and their shapes and be prepared.

    Parents as Teachers Program

    The Parents as Teachers (PAT) program supports families from pregnancy through age five by providing trusted guidance during a child’s earliest and most important years.

    Through personalized support, families receive developmental parenting education and ongoing screenings to help identify potential concerns early. By focusing on prevention, early detection, and strong parent-child relationships, PAT helps ensure children are healthy, safe, and ready to learn within their families and communities.
